The
fitting caps we stock are a very high quality. I have tested
these myself and they have survived constant removing and
installing. They provide a very tight seal around the fitting
nipple and eliminate dust, moisture and water from forming on
the fitting. This is very important because if your fitting is
covered in grime such as found on the bottom of trucks, the
grime can actually be injected through the fitting while

fitting cap. Notice how the Blue one has faded and broken, and
how the Red one was made without a full retaining circle. Over a
period of time being grease soaked and exposed to high
temperatures, I have seen these wear to the point that they will
fail to stay on the fitting nipple. You know how a greased
surface will attract dirt. Protect it with a high quality, long
